Last week, our seminar participants presented the results of a semester's work, and the afternoon delivered on its promise. With drinks and ice cream on hand, the atmosphere was relaxed, but the projects themselves were anything but casual.
What stood out most was the range of approaches. Some students went the route of literature reviews, synthesizing existing research to stake out a clear position. Others built case studies, grounding their arguments in concrete examples. There was theoretical work that engaged with the conceptual questions head on, and one student went as far as building a working prototype. Seeing that many methods represented in a single cohort is not something we take for granted.
Beyond the individual results, the more telling story was development over time. Comparing where these students started at the beginning of the semester with what they presented last week, the growth was clear, in how they framed problems, defended their choices, and handled questions from the room.
Congratulations to all participants. We are looking forward to seeing where this work leads.
