Kickoff of the Seminar "Sustainable Information Systems and Digital Energy Markets"

  • Date: 15.05.2026
  • Our seminar "Sustainable Information Systems and Digital Energy Markets" has officially launched into the new semester. Seven students from Bachelor's and Master's programs attended the opening session, which combined organizational matters and introductions with a substantive discussion on the foundations of good research.
The breadth of this year's seminar topics reflects the interdisciplinary orientation of the course. Among other subjects, students will explore the application of Reinforcement Learning in energy markets, openCode as digital public infrastructure, and questions of data literacy in the context of sustainability. Additional topics round out the spectrum and combine technical depth with societal relevance.
The first session already demonstrated how productive an exchange between different disciplinary perspectives can be. Over the coming months, the students will deepen their research and present their findings within the seminar. We look forward to seeing the projects evolve and to the insights they will produce.
